Mlily produce beds that truly benefit your health and your lifestyle. Their sleep scientists are constantly working around the clock to ensure their mattresses surpasses the highest standards of performance, which is reflected in the partnership with Manchester United. Mlily understand that like a shoe one size does not fit all in this industry, and that’s exactly why they have made a range of products that are adaptable to every body type and size.
The company's production facility was founded in 2003. Since then, it has doubled the production capacity annually and has become the largest memory foam manufacturer in China since 2011. In 2013, its export volumes exceed $130M. In 2014, the export volumes are destined to reach $150M.
With over 1,500 employees, the factory is located in Jiangsu, China and covers an area of 280,000㎡, with a separate warehouse of 30,000㎡. Mlily are still expanding the production area. They proudly state that they have the biggest foam production base in Asia, and produce around 4000m3 foam blocks of different density on daily basis. The two foam production lines run about 300m. Mlily own the world’s most advanced air suspension system which produces close to 1M molded pillows every month.
Mlily have their own state of the art lab facility which does below tests ensuring that they can pass and continue to comply with different certifications required globally.
Beginning from the foam materials they purchase and use, their own lab is the first line of defence and then they employ third party testing facilities like SGS, Intertex, and FIRA UK also. Mlily monitor and test all the raw materials which they buy from other suppliers that all comply with any global certifications and are of the highest standards.
The company originated in China. At the time of their conception, sleep was perceived completely differently by the Chinese people. They had become used to sleeping on harder, more cheaply made beds that provided zero support for their body. Mlily entered the market with their Memory Foam product at a time when people did not understand the benefits of a proper mattress or what sleep meant for their performance. Mlily had an uphill battle ahead of them in regards to cultural expectations of the entire industry. Thus, the term ‘Redefining Sleep’ was born, as they set out to change a culture and a perception on sleep. Mlily set out to educate the Chinese people, and to present them with a product that changed their expectations of beds and just how they sleep.
On October 31st, 2016 Mlily signed a 5 year global partnership with football giants Manchester United. The landmark move was unprecedented, bringing together the sleep and athletic industries in a Tier 1 relationship for the first time in history.
“It’s about margins,” says Pomi Khan, CEO of Mlily UK; “For a team like Manchester United, playing in the greatest, most competitive league in the world, every added advantage counts for its players. One of those advantages is by ensuring their players get the healthy, regenerative sleep they need to recover quicker and perform at their best.”
Manchester United Group Managing Director Richard Arnold comments:
“Mlily has an established track record of producing a high quality product. We want to make the best use of the latest technology and expertise that can help our team, which in this case is the sleep and recovery of our players.”
